Le Clos des Peziers, Bed and Breakfast, Blois (41)
Discover the history of our bed and breakfast in Vineuil (41)
The name of this building has evolved over time:
- Les Péziers, the ancient parish of Vineuil “located in the region of Péziers”, the name of which evokes a ‘stony’ place where vines were grown.
- Bellevue in the 18th century, the highest point in Vineul, from which one could enjoy a panoramic view of Blois.
- Les Pioches in the 19th century, the name derives from the tool used to extract from the ground stones to be used in construction. We wished to return to this building’s original name by calling it “Le Clos des Péziers”.
Le Clos des Péziers sitting room
The sitting room (40 sqm), positioned to let in the sun throughout the day, is a space in which to gather and relax, in winter around a wood fire.
The old beams and the lancet windows transport us into the building’s history.
The overriding impression is a feeling of space and brightness.
The Clos des Péziers dining room
Breakfast is served in the dining room.
We have chosen a communal table, a place to gather and have fun.
Breakfast is a special time and very characteristic of the bed and breakfast experience.
The food is “homemade” or made by local producers.
The bed and breakfast in Blois has retained the traces of its different owners.
We would be delighted to show them to you.
